Welcome to Giggles and Girlfriends Retreats...we are here to ensure that you get time away with your friends, family and girlfriends in a crafty atmosphere.  We welcome all types of crafters to retreat, however we specialize in Scrapbooking and Quilting.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Please note that payment of your deposit or any portion of your retreat payment is your acknowledgement that you have read and understood this policy.

Payment of your deposit or any portion of your retreat payments is your acknowledgement that you have read and understood this Cancellation & Refund Policy and the waiver of liability and that you agree to the Policy and Waiver as written.

Deposits and all other payments are not refundable or transferrable.

Any and all exceptions are at the discretion of Giggles and Girlfriends Retreats.

Cancellation registrants are responsible to notify the retreat coordinator at girlfriendsandgiggles@shaw.ca as soon as possible to notify of cancellation. Registrants must contact the retreat coordinator; no notifications will be accepted through other persons, other than the emergency contact.

Waitlist participants take priority for sold out retreat cancellations.

Registrations are not confirmed until the $75.00 deposit is received. There will be no exceptions.

Waitlists are used whenever available and persons on waitlists are given 24hrs to respond to the retreat coordinator to an open spot offered before the retreat coordinator goes forward to the next waitlist registrant. All registrations are at the discretion of the retreat coordinator and all replacements are at the discretion of the retreat coordinator. 

Cancellation/ Refund Policy for all retreats is as follows:  

Deposits to hold retreat spaces that are more than ninety (90) days from date of request will require a $75.00 deposit to hold the space. This will be effective as of September 7, 2012. (This allows us to ensure that those serious about attending a future (more than 90 days away) date have the opportunity to secure their spots). The $75 deposit fee is Payable at time of registration to hold the retreat space. This deposit amount will be applied to the full and final payment and is not transferrable or refundable if registration is cancelled for any reason.

Registrants will choose to pay for their retreats by one of two ways and will advise the retreat coordinator of their choice within ten (10) days of registration.

                Option 1: Payment in Full – Retreat Registrants who choose Option 1 will forward their full payment in one payment. Either by PayPal, Cheque (dated for the date of registration) or Credit Card through the PayPal system.

                Option 2: Flexible Payment Plan of three (3) payments. This option includes payment of the initial deposit due at time of registration. A 2nd Payment of $90.00 payable on the 90 day prior to retreat start date. A 3rd and final payment for the remaining balance due and payable on the 30 day prior to retreat start date.  This option can be made through PayPal Invoicing (all three (3) invoices sent at one time and the participant is responsible to pay them on their due dates) or Cheque/Post Date Cheques (all three (3) cheques must be submitted at the same time with the 2nd and 3rd payments as post dated cheques).

Failure to deliver payment(s) on time (by Midnight on the due date) will result in a $75.00 late fee, per transaction, or in the case of Sold Out retreats, will result in forfeiture of space / registration. Late payment fee’s are at the discretion of the retreat coordinator.

All registrations within the 31 days prior to retreat will be required to submit payment in full to secure their spot. No exceptions.

Payment of your deposit, 90-day payment or final/payment in full payments is deemed to be your acknowledgement that you have read and understood the above cancellation and no refund policy.

Your payment is your acknowledgement that you have read and understood and agree to the waiver of liability.

Cancellations within 60 days of retreat are not entitled to any refund and can only be transferrable if the retreat is sold out or under the sole discretion of Girlfriends and Giggles Mini Retreats.  Waitlists always take priority for any cancelled spots. 

Failure to make any of the above payments on time, forfeits your registration immediately, and allows the retreat coordinator to offer your space to waitlist registrants.

All registrations are at the discretion of the retreat coordinator and all replacements are at the discretion of the retreat coordinator. 

We hold the right to make exceptions to this policy due to hardships.  All hardships are decided by Girlfriends and Giggles Retreats.

We reserve the right to refuse/remove your registration at any time. 

Any illegal drug use or extreme drunkenness (at the discretion of the retreat coordinator or staff) at retreat will forfeit your retreat experience and you will be asked to leave immediately. You will be responsible for securing your safe departure home.


Who's the Hostess?

  • Rhonda is your hostess at the weekend retreats.  She can answer all your questions and ensure that your weekend is just what you needed.
  • Rhonda has over 16+ years experience scrapbooking.  Over 7 years of Quilting, over 25 years of seamstress and doll making and some minor beading experiences. 
  • Feel free to bring out your passion and share with others.
  • Rhonda works full time and organizes retreats for a part time business, in between raising 4 great kids, a loving husband and numerous volunteer committments.  Rhonda has a huge passion for Charities and often does events to raise dollars for Breast Cancer Research, Make-a-Wish foundation and the Stollery Children's Hospital.   Rhonda is a registered and trained First Aider in case of any emergencies.
